I'm in UK dah...

It has been a while since I last wrote in. I'm now in Manchester, United Kingdom. Alhamdulillah, I got the Chevening Award and am now in UMIST to do my MSc in Electrical Power Engineering. I was hoping that with my Masters, I can then go home and continue doing my Ir, and my long-time wish will come true.

Unfortunately, I just found out that IEM does not recognise my Masters and when I contacted them, they actually advised me to REPEAT my undergraduate!!!! I was so pissed off and very very disappointed. Somebody just have to do something about our engineering standards! No wonder, all young hopeful engineers are out of the country and doing well overseas. The engineering standards and council in Malaysia, just could not appreciate all these young talents- now, its gone wasted....

So, instead of moaning on how my dream wish to do my Ir in Malaysia is not gonna come true, I have decided to work harder here and probably might get lucky and get to do my Chartered here. So, that's my new goal in life - Chartered Engineering in UK.

Going down memory lane

Today was quite a hectic day at the office (as usual). Started the day with my Organics breakfast and had a small plate of mihoon goreng around 10am. Then, I was so occupied with work, I skipped lunch totally. By the time I rasa lapar, I had to rush to my ex-BBGS mate's wedding in Tropicana. So, dinner was nasi minyak, daging rendang, ayam madu & sayur. Though I didn't eat much coz was busy catching up with old mates from school.

The wedding was in Tropicana. Knowing my zero tolerence of getting lost in an out-of-KL area, my in-laws volunteered to send me there... oh my, it was a good idea indeed, coz I would probably get lost as soon as I reach 1 Utama!

Wow, it was really fun to meet all of them again after so long... some I totally lost contact with and I felt bad that I couldn't get hold of them soon enough for my wedding. I do miss my girlfriends from school. I remembered those days when we all hang out at the canteen, making a scene... those playful moments in class, the "berbaris" for prefect spot checks- checking on whether our nails are too long or our shoes weren't white enough.

Wished my best friend, Vasantha, was there too to meet the girls. She would have so much fun. Anyways, we plan for a great BBGS reunion in KLCC Madam Kwans 4/9/05 before I leave to the UK.

Papa & Mami picked me up soon after the wedding.

Today is officially my rest day - no exercise & had nasi minyak!

FITNESS FREAK...
It was raining this morning and (as usual) i could not get out of bed. Kesian my Ayang, he took 30mins just to wake me up... hehehe
I'm now in the process of detoxing - trying to stick to a very strict fitness schedule & Organic diet. So, my blog will be solely dedicated to track my progress. Thus, for anyone who accidentally come across this blog - I'm sorry, there's nothing interesting here... but, welcome anyways :)
Today, morning had my spirulina+ wheatgrass+barleygrass + soy mix drink. Lunch skipped (too busy with work), petang had a cereal choc bar and straight to the gym. Malam lapar giler... so I just had to makan nasi sikit with Mama's lauk ikan bilis berlada & kubis masak kicap... hehe.
My workout today:
  1. Bicycle 3km, 15mins, Level 3 - 55kCal
  2. Rowing 3km, 20mins, Level 5 - ave 30spm
  3. Body Combat Class 1 hr
  4. Treadmill run, 2.6km, 25mins, Level 4 - 110kCal
  5. Tummy - 6 sets, 20 reps each
  6. Back - 3 set bridging, 30 counts each
  7. Cool down & stretch

I've been starting my exercise program seriously since the past 4 weeks, since I gained so much weight after my job posting in Bintulu. I started off with my PT training with my personal trainer, Hadi and slowly pushed myself to the gym every day to at least do a class or stick to Hadi's cardio plan.

Alhamdulillah, I'm starting to see results as my baju dah semakin longgar nowadays and my PT sessions with Hadi are becoming much easier to endure ;) Can't wait to measure & update my weight this Saturday. My ultimate goal - is to burn the fat & tone up to slim down like when I was in UK.
