It has been a while since I last wrote in. I'm now in Manchester, United Kingdom. Alhamdulillah, I got the Chevening Award and am now in UMIST to do my MSc in Electrical Power Engineering. I was hoping that with my Masters, I can then go home and continue doing my Ir, and my long-time wish will come true.
Unfortunately, I just found out that IEM does not recognise my Masters and when I contacted them, they actually advised me to REPEAT my undergraduate!!!! I was so pissed off and very very disappointed. Somebody just have to do something about our engineering standards! No wonder, all young hopeful engineers are out of the country and doing well overseas. The engineering standards and council in Malaysia, just could not appreciate all these young talents- now, its gone wasted....
So, instead of moaning on how my dream wish to do my Ir in Malaysia is not gonna come true, I have decided to work harder here and probably might get lucky and get to do my Chartered here. So, that's my new goal in life - Chartered Engineering in UK.
